Soccer Recap: Grayslake Central Takes a Loss

Grayslake Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Grayslake North Knights. While losing is never fun, Grayslake Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Grayslake North are ranked 70th).

Grayslake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Grayslake North, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grayslake Central will square off against Buffalo Grove at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Grayslake North, they will take on Deerfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Grayslake North's defense better be ready for this one: Deerfield have averaged an impressive 2.6 goals per game this season.
