Baseball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Westview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Churubusco Eagles. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Owen Weinberg made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Jaxon Miller was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Churubusco, their record is now 9-10.

Coming up, Westview will face off against Columbia City at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Churubusco, they are taking a road trip to challenge Northfield at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
