Soccer Game Preview: Arcadia vs. Tabb

The Arcadia Firebirds will head out to take on the Tabb Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Arcadia took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Lancaster 5-2. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Arcadia's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tabb). They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over New Kent on Friday. The win continues a trend for Tabb in their matchups with New Kent: they've now won six in a row.

The victory got Tabb back to even at 3-3-1. As for Arcadia, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Arcadia suffered a grim 7-4 defeat to Tabb in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Firebirds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
