Sandia piles up the points against West Mesa

Recap: Sandia Matadors vs. West Mesa Mustangs

The Sandia Matadors stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by West Mesa on the road to the tune of 70-23. The victory was nothing new for Sandia as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Sandia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sydney Benally out in front who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Hope Giddings, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.

Sandia pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for West Mesa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Sandia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-68 loss vs. Farmington on the 9th. West Mesa has also already played their next matchup, a 47-44 loss against Del Norte on the 8th.
