Basketball Recap: Lugoff-Elgin Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Lugoff-Elgin was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Roswell on Friday. The Lugoff-Elgin Demons blew past the Roswell Hornets 59-38. Given the Demons' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 47th in South Carolina, while the Hornets are ranked 201st in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lugoff-Elgin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Long, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 13 points. Long is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Braylen Mumford was another key player, putting up eight points and six assists.
