Volleyball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Alexander Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2018.

Tatiana Laboy paced Marshall's offense, picking up two kills. Laboy got some help from Arianna Wright and her two assists. Finally, Laboy was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Alexander, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Marshall has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Canyon Lake on the 23rd. As for Alexander, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Pieper on the 23rd.
