DeSoto picks up seventh straight win on the road

Recap: DeSoto Thunderbirds vs. West Memphis Christian Black Knights

The DeSoto Thunderbirds stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against West Memphis Christian as DeSoto made off with a 65-41 win. The victory was nothing new for DeSoto as they're now sitting on four straight.

Leading DeSoto to victory were Carsyn Gore and Anslee Barnes. Gore scored 16 points along with six steals, while Barnes scored 27 points along with two blocks. Gore is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Emmy Barnes, who scored six points along with five steals.

DeSoto's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for West Memphis Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

DeSoto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Memphis Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
