Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clinch County). They breezed past the Irwin County Indians to the tune of 61-14 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Indians are ranked 338th).
Clinch County found their leader in sophomore Traviian Miller, who threw for 402 yards and eight TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 64 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Those eight passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Miller. 86 of Miller's passing yards were hauled in by Travis Miller, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Clinch County's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 42.5 points this season. As for Irwin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
