Daniel Boone had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over the Seymour Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Trailblazers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Daniel Boone got a massive performance out of T J Leonard, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Clay Rowland, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Daniel Boone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Daniel Boone's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Seymour, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Daniel Boone will venture away from home to challenge West Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Seymour, they will head out to square off against Cocke County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Seymour has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
