Volleyball Recap: Betsy Layne Comes Up Short

Betsy Layne suffered their biggest defeat since October 29, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Prestonsburg Blackcats. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blackcats earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Betsy Layne's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-7. As for Prestonsburg, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-10.

Coming up, Betsy Layne will take on Floyd Central at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Prestonsburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
