Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wabash). Everything went their way against the Elwood Panthers on Tuesday as they made off with a 9-3 win. The Apaches haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Carter Booth, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Dominic Baker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The win got Wabash back to even at 5-5. As for Elwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Wabash will take on Northfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Norsemen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.33 runs per game on average), something the Apaches will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Elwood, they will head out to take on Blackford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
