Football Recap: Cactus Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cactus can now relate to. They took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Desert Mountain Wolves on Friday. The Cobras haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Nathaniel Linares and Robert Bell certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Linares rushed for 124 yards and one score, while Bell threw for 42 yards and one TD. Linares' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 104 rushing yards.

Cactus' loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Desert Mountain, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Cactus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Desert Mountain, they will square off against Desert Edge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' defense better be ready for this one: the Scorpions have averaged an impressive 39.5 points per game this season.
