Basketball Game Preview: Middle Park Panthers vs. Jefferson Academy Jaguars

Having just played yesterday, the Middle Park Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Jefferson Academy Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Middle Park's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Middle Park took on The Academy on Thursday. Middle Park strolled past The Academy with points to spare, taking the game 59-42.

Meanwhile, Jefferson Academy had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Platte Canyon on Thursday as Jefferson Academy made off with a 65-42 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Jaguars have posted since December 21, 2024.

Middle Park is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. Jefferson Academy's victory bumped their record up to 14-8.

Middle Park came up short against Jefferson Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2015, falling 84-74. Can Middle Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
