Football Recap: Emanuel County Institute Comes Up Short at Home Against Wilcox County + How To Watch

Emanuel County Institute unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilcox County Patriots on Friday. The Bulldogs were up 21-7 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Wilcox County had a senior duo take command as Tyler Tisdol gained 188 total yards and Melvin McAdoo rushed for 70 yards and two scores.

Looking ahead, Emanuel County Institute is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Swainsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilcox County, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Clinch County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
