Volleyball Recap: Greenway Takes a Loss

Greenway lost against Goldwater back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Demons lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs.

While Greenway was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-19, 25-13.

Vanessa Dreher paced Greenway's offense, picking up ten kills. Dreher got some help from Haidyn Nelson and her 20 assists. Nelson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Goldwater had a senior duo take command as Madilyn Brady had seven digs and two aces and Natalia White had 16 digs.

Greenway has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Goldwater, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Greenway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Thunderbird on the 24th. As for Goldwater, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Paradise Honors on the 25th.
