Basketball Recap: Watkins Memorial Takes a Loss

Watkins Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Licking Valley Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-55 back in January.

Watkins Memorial's record is now 6-15. As for Licking Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Watkins Memorial has already played their next contest (against Northridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Licking Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-47 victory against Fairfield Union on the 15th.
