Volleyball Recap: Jacobs Comes Up Short

Jacobs's tournament run continued when they took on Glenbrook North on Saturday. The Golden Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Maddie Mitchell paced Jacobs' offense, picking up six kills. Mitchell got some help from Gianna Coletti and her nine assists.

Glenbrook North found their leader in sophomore Morgan Choi, who had 14 digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Choi. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Choi, who had 14 assists.

Jacobs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Glenbrook North, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Jacobs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Cary-Grove on the 23rd. As for Glenbrook North, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against New Trier on the 25th.
