Basketball Recap: Richfield Has No Trouble Against Shoshone + How To Watch

While Richfield didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Shoshone Indians by a score of 32-20 on Monday. That looming 32-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Richfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexi Holland out in front who posted ten points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Holland a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Naylor, who earned five points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Richfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Richfield's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Shoshone, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Richfield will square off against Rockland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shoshone, they will host Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
