Recap: Millbury Woolies vs. Rockland Bulldogs
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Millbury Woolies, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockland on Friday. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but Millbury couldn't answer the 7 points Rockland scored afterwards.
Matteus Mateo threw for 167 yards on 18 of 27 attempts. Tyler Vaccaro was his top target, picking up 78 receiving yards. On the ground, Sergio Hernandez rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown.
Millbury has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Rockland, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millbury will take on Sutton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
