Basketball Recap: Jose Silva Key Part of a Team Effort in Red Devils Win

Avon Park's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Sebring Blue Streaks by a score of 87-74. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-52 back in December of 2024.

Avon Park's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jose Silva, who posted 25 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Silva a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Tayvion Jones, who scored 21 points and six boards.

When it comes to explaining why Sebring lost, don't look at David Allen. Despite the final result, he earned 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Toney, who put up 15 points.

Avon Park's record is now 19-3. As for Sebring, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
