Baseball Game Preview: Logan-Rogersville Wildcats vs. Branson Pirates

The Logan-Rogersville Wildcats will challenge the Branson Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Logan-Rogersville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Branson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Branson will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Logan-Rogersville extended their winning streak to three on Monday. Everything went the Wildcats' way against Reeds Spring as they made off with a 7-1 victory.

Meanwhile, Branson fell victim to Marshfield and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bluejays, falling 10-0. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Logan-Rogersville pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Branson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Logan-Rogersville came out on top in a nail-biter against Branson in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
