Softball Recap: Reno Comes Up Short

Reno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-8 to the Douglas Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Friday.

Zia Stege and Aaralynn Correa did some serious damage despite the final result: Stege scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Correa scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5.

Reno's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17-1. As for Douglas, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

While Reno had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
