Smith Valley had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Sage Ridge Scorpions with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-7, 25-11.

Smith Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexie Gray, who had 14 kills, six digs, three aces, and one block. That's the most aces Gray has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrina Banta, who had 12 digs, nine kills, and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Smith Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive contests.

Smith Valley's record is now 17-9. As for Sage Ridge, they moved to 7-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Coming up, Smith Valley will take on Excel Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sage Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
