 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sinton had no problem doing just that  on Friday. They put the hurt on the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) with a sharp  12-2 win. Sinton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 13 contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Sinton got a great performance from  Adrian DeAses as he  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Nick Flores was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Marco Gonzales, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3.
 Sinton's victory bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Uvalde, they now  have a losing record at 15-16-2.
 Sinton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Uvalde: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
