Volleyball Recap: MacDonald Condor vs. Mt. Pleasant Cardinals
MacDonald had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.
The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets MacDonald lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-12.
Ethan Bugarin paced MacDonald's offense, picking up 18 kills. Bugarin got some help from Dylan Bugarin and his 22 assists. Finally, Tobin Ley kept MacDonald's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
The win got Mt. Pleasant back to even at 1-1.
