East Davidson is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will head out to square off against the Salisbury Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Davidson proved they can win big last Monday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Wheatmore 8-7. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Yang is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Blackwell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Teashia Ellis, who scored a run while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

East Davidson's record is now 2-3. As for Salisbury, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
