Soccer Recap: Centennial Has No Trouble Against Garces Memorial

Centennial hadn't done well against Garces Memorial recently (they were 0-7-2 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Centennial Golden Hawks put the hurt on the Garces Memorial Rams with a sharp 3-0 win. That three goal margin sets a new team best for the Golden Hawks this season.

They hit Garces Memorial with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ben Alcantar, Hudson McDonald, and Kevin Zapien.

The victory got Centennial back to even at 5-5-1. As for Garces Memorial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will be home for the holidays to greet Shafter at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Garces Memorial, they will welcome The Palmdale Aerospace Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
