            Softball Recap: Logan Wildcats vs. St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish        
        
		
        
        
            Logan extended their winning streak  to three  on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 15-3 in the process. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-2  win over the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-2  on Tuesday.

 Myleigh Adkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Ashlin Brumfield was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted  over her last 11  matches.  Lacy Curry was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
As for St. Vincent-St. Mary,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the  defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs.
 On St. Vincent-St. Mary's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alli Zajac, who  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan will challenge Cabell Midland at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Archbishop Hoban  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
