Basketball Recap: East Lawrence Comes Up Short

East Lawrence lost against Good Hope back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The game between the East Lawrence Eagles and the Good Hope Raiders didn't end well, with the East Lawrence Eagles falling 77-58. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Raiders are ranked 42nd).

This is the second loss in a row for East Lawrence and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for Good Hope, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

East Lawrence won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cold Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Lawrence is facing Cold Springs at the right time seeing as Cold Springs is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Good Hope, they will take on Muscle Shoals at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
