Volleyball Recap: Preble Shawnee Comes Up Short

Preble Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Edgewood Cougars.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12, 25-18.

Preble Shawnee's offense was headlined by Macy Price and Sallie Montgomery, who picked up seven kills apiece. Montgomery really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. Price was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Preble Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Edgewood, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 11-10.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Preble Shawnee and Versailles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 12:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Edgewood, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mount Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
