Basketball Recap: Uintah Finds Home Court Redemption Against Orem

There's no place like home for Uintah, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Orem Tigers on Tuesday as the Uintah Utes made off with a 47-27 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 37-23 on January 10th.

It was another big night for Kenadie Maughan, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. Joy Spencer also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Uintah's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. As for Orem, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Uintah will square off against Provo at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Provo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season. As for Orem, they will host Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
