Football Recap: Pueblo Centennial Comes Up Short

Pueblo Centennial extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They took a blow against the Discovery Canyon Thunder, falling 43-0. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 50-8 to the Thunder when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Even if they lost, Pueblo Centennial's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. In that department, Ezra Mestas was the leader with two. Mestas is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least nine every time he's taken the field this season.

As for Discovery Canyon, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Discovery Canyon had a senior duo take command as Ethan Ramsay gained 119 total yards and a touchdown and Bronson Mack rushed for 60 yards and two TDs.

Pueblo Centennial has already played their next matchup, a 44-0 defeat against Pueblo South on the 16th. As for Discovery Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-0 win against Harrison on the 18th.
