Baseball Recap: Buffalo Takes a Loss

Buffalo lost against Iola on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buffalo Bison took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Iola Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Bison have lost by exactly five runs.

Buffalo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was C Martinez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Buffalo's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Iola, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo will square off against Teague at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Teague is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Iola, they will face off against Leon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Iola's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Leon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
