Junior forward led Clackamas to Class 5A semifinals while averaging 26.4 points per game.

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in prep girls basketball. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2023-24 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Jazzy Davidson of Clackamas is the 2023-24 Oregon MaxPreps Player of the Year for the second straight season. The 6-foot-1 junior forward led the Cavaliers to a 24-4 record and third-place finish in Class 5A.

For the season, Davidson averaged 26.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 3.8 steals per game. She put up 27 points in a quarterfinal win over Jesuit (Portland) and earlier in the year had 38 against eventual champion South Medford (Medford).

Clackamas is 50-8 over the past two seasons with a title in 2023. Davidson has narrowed her college choices to eight schools – Duke, LSU, South Carolina, Stanford, TCU, Texas, UCLA and USC.

Each state's MaxPreps Player of the Year will be considered for inclusion in the MaxPreps All-America Team, which is scheduled to be released April 11. Past selections include 2023 WNBA Most Valuable Player Breanna Stewart (2012) as well as 2023 All-WNBA first team picks Napheesa Collier (2015), Alyssa Thomas (2010) and A'ja Wilson (2014).
