Basketball Game Preview: Kennedy Eagles vs. Torrington Raiders

Kennedy is 1-9 against Torrington since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagles will welcome the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Kennedy took a blow against Seymour, falling 60-14. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Torrington played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Staples and fell 60-31. The Raiders were down 52-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Torrington, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Kennedy took a serious blow against Torrington in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, falling 60-27. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 44-8.
