Basketball Recap: Herlong Comes Up Short

Herlong and Dunsmuir squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Herlong had to settle for second. They fell to the Dunsmuir Tigers 66-60. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Michael Kellar was his usual excellent self, putting up 34 points for Dunsmuir. Kellar's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 24 points. Another player making a difference was Xavier Wollner, who posted 12 points.

Herlong's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Dunsmuir, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-14.

Herlong does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dunsmuir, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paradise Adventist Academy will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Dunsmuir surely won't give up without a fight.
