Baseball Recap: Warren East Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Warren East can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Kavien Hinton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. William Alexander was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Warren East's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Franklin-Simpson, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-10.

Looking ahead, Warren East will take on Green County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. Franklin-Simpson has already played their next contest (against Westmoreland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
