Basketball Recap: Red Creek Triumphs

Red Creek hadn't done well against Gananda Central recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Red Creek Rams walked away with a 60-53 win over the Gananda Central Blue Panthers. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Gananda Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hunter Vogt, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Grassel, who had 12 points.

Red Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Gananda Central, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Clyde-Savannah the next time they take the court. Gananda Central will head out to face Clyde-Savannah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Red Creek will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
