Baseball Game Preview: Fremont Wolves vs. Wasatch Wasps

For the second straight game, Fremont will face off against Wasatch. The Wolves will head out on the road to take on the Wasps at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fremont will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Fremont is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They skirted past Wasatch 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since April 4th.

Tad Grange spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bodee Hawkins and Adam Mikesell did most of the damage at the plate: Hawkins went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Mikesell went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Hawkins is becoming a predictor of Fremont's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 12-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

Fremont's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Wasatch, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-11.
