Volleyball Game Preview: Dysart Demons vs. Northwest Christian Crusaders

Dysart is 0-3 against Northwest Christian since April of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Demons will head out to square off against the Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. Dysart is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Thursday, Dysart made easy work of Desert Sunrise and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Northwest Christian got the win against Odyssey Institute on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-16.

Dysart better keep an eye on Trace Martin. He was instrumental in Northwest Christian's win, getting seven digs and four aces. Martin has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last 15 times he's played. Colton Bombinski also deserves some recognition as he had his first digs of the season.

Northwest Christian couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 60.4% of their attack attempts. The last time their hitting percentage was this high was was before the start of last season.

Northwest Christian's record now sits at 16-7. As for Dysart, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7.

Dysart might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Northwest Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Demons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
