Dexter posted their closest win since September 2nd on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Vincent Indians, sneaking past 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Dexter got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-22.

Mauriona Menley paced Dexter's offense, picking up 15 kills. Menley got some help from Brooklyn Goodman and her 18 assists. Mali McBride and Karis Kennedy kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Despite the loss, St. Vincent still got an impressive performance from Callie Schnurbusch, who had 21 digs. Kennedy Cissell also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Dexter now has a winning record of 4-3-2. As for St. Vincent, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-4-1.

Dexter has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Winona on the 13th. As for St. Vincent, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Perryville on the 13th.
