The Weston Wolves will square off against the St. Frederick Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Weston will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Weston gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over Union Parish. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Farmers: they've now won six in a row.
Jase Borders made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Ty Henderson was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Drew Browning, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, St. Frederick made easy work of Claiborne Christian on Thursday and carried off a 10-1 victory.
NICK RILEY spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. Frederick is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-13 otherwise.
At the plate, St. Frederick let OWEN ONEIL and CLAYTON TURPIN run wild. ONEIL went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while TURPIN went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. MICHEAL MALLOY was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Weston's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for St. Frederick, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
