Basketball Game Preview: Hancock Eagles vs. Morgan Park Mustangs

The Hancock Eagles will head out to face off against the Morgan Park Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hancock has 11 straight wins, Morgan Park has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Hancock strolled past Juarez with points to spare, taking the game 30-14.

Meanwhile, Morgan Park played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Whitney Young 83-26. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Dolphins are ranked 23rd).

Hancock pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.3 points per game. As for Morgan Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
