Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Reagan Nehls and Breanna Richards-Scholz Lead Palo Verde to Victory

Palo Verde won the last time they faced Mojave and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Palo Verde Panthers came out on top against the Mojave Rattlers by a score of 37-30.

Palo Verde was led to victory by Breanna Richards-Scholz and Reagan Nehls. Richards-Scholz posted nine points and four steals, while Nehls scored 13 points. What's more, Richards-Scholz also racked up four rebounds, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

Defeat or not, Mojave got some senior leadership from Zeryah Stokes and Jac?Amore Fahie Fahie. Stokes went 6 for 14 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and five steals, while Fahie put up seven points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Fahie has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last five times she's played.

Palo Verde's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for Mojave, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Palo Verde wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 63-30 loss against Spring Valley on the 16th. As for Mojave, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-27 victory against Cimarron-Memorial on the 16th.
