Powdersville's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Fountain Inn Fury as the Powdersville Patriots made off with an 11-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Powdersville considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Bree Woods was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kas Austin, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
On Fountain Inn's side, Peyton Kinsler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Powdersville's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Fountain Inn, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Powdersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fountain Inn, they will head out on the road to take on Woodruff at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
