Basketball Recap: Mount Tabor Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Mount Tabor, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 55-42 victory over the R.J. Reynolds Demons on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 75-59 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, R.J. Reynolds still got an impressive performance from Andreas Kazakos, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was JB Johnson, who scored nine points.

Mount Tabor's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. As for R.J. Reynolds, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Mount Tabor will venture away from home to take on East Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Mount Tabor likes a good challenge. As for R.J. Reynolds, they will welcome Parkland at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. R.J. Reynolds is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.
