Volleyball Recap: Berkeley Takes a Loss

Berkeley and Carondelet squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Berkeley had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Berkeley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-10, 25-20, 28-26.

Berkeley's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Carondelet, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-9.

Berkeley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Windsor on the 8th. As for Carondelet, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Monte Vista on the 8th.
