The Colton Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 65-37 loss at the hands of Tekoa-Rosalia. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Colton in their matchups with Tekoa-Rosalia: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Colton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Matthew Reisenauer. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points. Reisenauer scored a full 37.8% of Colton's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Isaac Bone continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tekoa-Rosalia, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Bone's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanden Allen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Colton's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.4 points per game. As for Tekoa-Rosalia, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Colton will head out on the road to face off against Rosalia at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tekoa-Rosalia, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pomeroy at 7:30 p.m. Pomeroy will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
