Soccer Recap: Mahomet-Seymour Takes a Loss

Mahomet-Seymour fell victim to Richwoods and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. While losing is never fun, Mahomet-Seymour can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Richwoods are ranked 46th).

Mahomet-Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Richwoods, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2-2.

Coming up, Mahomet-Seymour will square off against Dunlap at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Richwoods, they will head out to challenge Champaign Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
