Soccer Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Lockport

Thornton kept up with Lockport until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Porters' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 3-0 shutout. Lockport have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Thornton, too.

Lockport hit Thornton with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Daniel Martinczak, Jacob Hareza, and Aleko Kolliniatis.

Lockport has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two games. As for Thornton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Lockport will venture away from home to take on Reavis at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Thornton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lincoln-Way Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
